Terms of use

These terms govern the use of the luminov.ca website and its forms. They are written to be read: if something is unclear, write to us. This English version is a translation; if the two versions differ, the French version prevails.
1. Who we are
The luminov.ca website is operated by Luminov inc., a permanent LED lighting installation company located at 57 Rue Ste-Cécile, Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, QC J6T 1L6. To reach us: info@luminov.ca or (450) 804-5093.
2. Acceptance of the terms
By using the site, you accept these terms and our privacy policy. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
3. Using the site
You may browse the site and use its forms for your own personal or business use. It is prohibited to:
- provide false information or use someone else’s identity;
- send forms in an automated way, in bulk or for solicitation purposes;
- scrape the site by automated means to reproduce its content elsewhere, beyond the crawling allowed below;
- attempt to disrupt the operation or security of the site, or access it without authorization.
Search engines and artificial intelligence assistants may crawl and index the site, and quote short excerpts with a link back to the original page, in keeping with its robots.txt file.
We may block access to the site or disregard a request that does not follow these rules.
4. The information presented
The project photos show real Luminov installations. Every home is different: how yours looks depends on its architecture, the length of its eaves and your settings.
Descriptions, examples and answers to frequently asked questions are provided for information only. The site displays no prices. The price, layout and terms of your installation are those of your written quote, which takes precedence over any information on the site.
We do our best to keep the information accurate and up to date, but an error may slip in. We will correct it as soon as we are made aware of it.
5. Quotes, appointments and contracts
A request sent through the site commits you to nothing and is not a contract. A quote is valid under the conditions and for the period stated in it.
Every installation is covered by a written contract setting out its price, description, schedule and warranty. That contract takes precedence over these terms. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under Quebec’s Consumer Protection Act.
6. The simulator
The simulator, offered on simulateur.luminov.ca (in French), produces a computer-generated image from your address or your photo. It is meant to help you picture the result: the image is an illustration, not a photo of the final installation, and it is neither a quote nor a commitment. The simulator has its own terms and its own privacy policy.
7. Forms and communications
You agree to provide accurate information. By sending a form, you agree that we may contact you by phone, text message or email about your request. We do not send you advertising without your consent, and you can ask us to stop contacting you at any time.
Your information is handled in accordance with our privacy policy.
8. Job applications
Sending an application through the Careers page does not guarantee a job. The terms of any work with Luminov, including pay, are set out during a conversation with our team and in a written agreement.
9. Warranty
Our installations are covered by a warranty of 10 years on parts and 1 year on labour, under the terms of the Warranty page and your installation contract.
This warranty is in addition to the warranties provided by law (including the legal warranty of quality under the Consumer Protection Act), which it does not limit in any way.
10. Intellectual property
The site’s content (text, photos, videos, the Luminov logo, name and brand, layout) belongs to Luminov inc. or its partners and is protected by law. You may share a link to the site, but you may not reproduce, modify or reuse its content for other purposes without our written permission, except for the indexing and short quotations allowed under “Using the site”.
11. Reviews, testimonials and videos
The testimonials and reviews shown on the site come from real clients. They reflect their personal experience; they do not guarantee an identical result for every installation. The people who appear in our videos agreed to be in them.
12. Third-party links and services
The site contains links to other sites (the simulator, Facebook, Instagram, Google, Vimeo). These services have their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.
13. Site availability
We aim to keep the site available at all times, but cannot guarantee that it will be free of interruptions or errors. We may change it, update it or suspend part of it, in particular for maintenance.
14. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Luminov inc. is not liable for indirect damages arising from the use of the site or the inability to use it. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits a liability that the law does not allow to be excluded or limited, particularly toward a consumer.
15. Changes to the terms
We may change these terms, for example to reflect a new service. The version in force is the one published on this page, with its update date. It does not apply retroactively to a quote or contract already concluded.
16. Governing law and language
These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply. Any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the courts of Quebec, subject to the rights the law grants consumers, including the right to go to the court of their place of residence.
